I Could Live Here: Live at the Warfield

If you thought the renovation of the Warfield theater was incredible, wait til you see the work/live units upstairs.

I used to think it was cool to live within a mile of the now-defunct-but-still-legendary Sweetwater in Mill Valley, but imagine living a few floors above the stomping ground of Jerry Garcia, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. That's right, the developers who cleaned up the Warfield are now offering the upper floors of the Market Street building for sale as full-floor commercial condominiums. And while four of the floors share a wall with the music venue, the top three stories of 988 Market Street (floors 6, 7 and 8) do not, offering full advantage of the C3G zoning, which allows 25% of the space to be designated residential.

Consider the $3M move-in-ready penthouse floor, which at 5,000 square feet has been built out by Lawanna Cathleen Design with urban luxe 1BR/1BA residence and a variety of extra comfy offices and conference areas. The combo of exposed brick walls, new windows, engineered maple floors and the European kitchen make the space feel more creative than commercial and the furnishings are comfortable with a little rock-n-roll edge to them.

I'm thinking photo studio/publishing offices or design firm/publishing offices or better yet, music production/publishing offices! Is this starting to sound like a casting call? Perhaps it is— because I can see myself sitting right here (behind the desk, to be clear).
